  2. Wow, what a sweet, sad, happy, emotional story. I feel like we are “Kindred Spirits”. I guess I knew it was going to be ok by your title to the story. But listening to you tell it made all the emotions you were feeling at the time come out to me. I have experienced similar but different things happen to me with my dogs over the years. In true animal lovers I guess it brings out the mothering instinct in you. You do what you have to do to try and save them. I’m so glad that your “Miracle” survived and hope she is still continuing to recover completely. Stay safe on your journey and have a great Labor Day Weekend. I’ll be searching for treasures in the hills and hollers of Hillsville…….Teresa

  6. Mornin’ Jill, I hope today finds your Miracle still improving and I’m sending a prayer for that. Your video sure touched hearts here.
Hey, did you happen to see my comment about Ry Cooder on your post An Incredible Day in New Hampshire? I feel you and I are both a couple of music geeks (hahaha) so I truly think you’d enjoy his new album entitled The Prodigal Son. I enjoy these songs and think you will too, In His Care, When the Roll is Called, Straight Street and my favorite is the title song The Prodigal Son. Hope you can get the chance to listen; I’d love to know what you think! My feel good cure is always prayer and music and they are both essential for road trips!!;)

    1. Morning Donna! Miracle has had a week full of ups and downs. We take two steps forward and three back. But I truly believe she is now over the hump and on the road to full recovery. It will just take a long time, but it was a major trauma so we’re just grateful to be heading in the right direction. X-Ray’s yesterday showed no fractures! I will definitely check out Ry Cooder !!! Thanks for the tip! Love to Ohio!

  7. Oh my, Jill!! I started feeling that lump in my throat and and tears in my eyes before the end of the first 3 minutes of your video!! There is nothing that makes one feel so helpless is for a large beloved animal to be in a desperate situation. My daughter’s first horse got severe colic two weeks after we purchased her and it was touch and go all weekend. The vet was coming out three times a day to empty her gut and give meds. We got bedding together and my daughter and I plus several wonderful other girl friend spent the day and night there, keeping Dancer on her feet, loving on her, talking on her and praying for her. On Sunday morning when I went to church, I asked Father Jeremy at communion to please pray with me for her return to health. We prayed, I bawled like a baby and went back out to the barn. While I was gone, my daughter and best friend took Dancer out to try and walk her. They picked wild flowers and filled her halter with flowers and hugger her all morning. They also found some little wooden cross that they put on her forelock too. Do you know that afternoon, the vet saw positive changes and told us that she would now pull through!! OMG, how I know the value of prayer and how that looks sometimes. Flowers woven by teen girls and many many hugs around Dancer’s neck were the prayers that were heard. The girls had a faith that me as an adult faltered with. Together we all rejoiced with the vet when we heard our sweet girl would live and recover! Saints be Praised!!

Your prayers and your PRESENCE with that cow were important and needed. We can sometimes be the hands of God with touch and reassurance to animals and people that they are not alone and that we are with them in their pain and suffering while we wait for those miracles. We can give them strength in a language that only they understand while we are crying our eyes out!!

I am so happy Jill that you were there to rally the help, start the prayers from every direction, and stay with your sweet girl in her hours of desperate need. These miracles etch our hearts and strengthen our faith. I love the old hymn whose refrain says” All thing bright and beautiful, All creatures large and Small, All things wise and wonderful, Our Lord God made them all!!

    2. So many miracles and answered prayers this past week. It’s been a roller coaster but I believe we are on the road to recovery. It will be a long one, but I feel it will be a successful one! God has shown up and shown off countless times in this situation and proved to me His ever faithfulness in our lives!

  8. Undeniably imagine that which you said. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the web the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider issues that they just do not understand about. You managed to hit the nail upon the highest and outlined out the entire thing without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thank you

  9. Awe Jill. Not sure why I have been missing your post, but all is good they were in another folder.

Oh Jill what a heart warming story about Miracle. My heart is filled with his Glory. God was with her and you all the time. I hope all is still going well and Miracle will grow strong and full of strength.

Thanking our Lord Jesus for his helping hand that he held out to all in Miracle’s rescue.
    Love to you,
